Chill Out Room

Come and visit our chill out room. We have free hot drinks, books, a TV, and a range of games and activities:

  • Xbox console: FIFA, Minecraft, Forza, and more
  • Board games and cards
  • Books for adults and children of all ages
  • Piano and instruments 
  • Games and toys for children

The room is a relaxing safe place that is welcome for everyone seeking sanctuary. It's open Monday to Thursday, 9 am - 3.30 pm, and Friday, 9 am - 1 pm.

    - Tuesday, 12 - 2 pm
    - Free lunch for students, hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, accessible toilets, and a warm chill-out space.
  • Akroyd Library: Bankfield Museum, HX3 6HG
    - Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm
    - Hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, accessible toilets, computer access, and child-friendly.
  • Halifax Central Library: Square Road, West Yorkshire, HX1 1QG
    - Monday - Friday, 10 am - 6.30 pm and Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm
    - Hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, accessible toilets, computer access, charging facilities, and child-friendly.
  • St Pauls Methodist Church, HX6 2EQ
    - Sunday, 3 - 6 pm
    - Serving hot drinks and snacks with takeaway food in a warm friendly space.
