Fundraise

We rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to maintain our vital work supporting refugees and people seeking asylum. Fundraising plays a crucial role in helping us provide essential support and create a safe, welcoming space in Calderdale. Whether big or small, every fundraising effort makes a real difference.

How you can get involved

  • Organise your own fundraising activity: Why not set up a sponsored walk, marathon, or bake sale?
  • We are here to support you: If you would like a helping hand getting started, or if you want to promote your challenge, we are here to help. We can provide resources and share your fundraising efforts across our social media channels.
  • Join our fundraising campaigns: Keep an eye on our social media and website for events you can participate in. Such as our All Together 24 Challenge, where we aim to walk, pedal, run, climb, swim, row, push, and pull a collective 24,901 miles - the circumference of the Earth.

Fundraising Ideas

Do you need inspiration? Here are some fun and impactful ideas to get you started:

  • Sponsored walk or run: Whether it's a marathon, a community run, or even a casual walk, you can raise funds while staying active.
  • Bake sale: Who doesn’t love homemade treats? Organise a bake sale at your local community centre, school, or even at home.
  • Virtual fundraiser: Host an online quiz, talent show, or gaming event where friends and family can donate to join in.
  • Car boot sale: Declutter and raise funds at the same time by selling unwanted items at a local car boot sale.
  • Birthday donations: Ask friends and family to donate to our cause instead of giving gifts on your special day. You can set up Facebook, Instagram, and JustGiving fundraisers quickly and smoothly.

If you’re ready to organise a fundraising campaign or event, please get in touch with Les, she will answer all of your questions.
