About St Augustine’s Centre
St Augustine’s Centre is a place of safety, support and sanctuary for people seeking asylum and refugees in Calderdale. Our work is both dynamic and challenging, and we place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, self‑care and clear boundaries for everyone in our team.


About the Role
This is a newly created senior leadership role, arising from increased organisational demands and our commitment to ensuring that people with lived experience are represented at senior management level.
We are looking for a leader who brings both professional expertise and personal insight. You will combine lived experience of the UK asylum or immigration system with strong skills in management, partnership‑building and clear, confident communication.
You will play a key role in shaping services, amplifying the voices of Centre members and influencing external stakeholders.

Key information about the job
- One-year fixed term contract (with the possibility of extending if funding secured)
- 30 hours (4 days) a week.
- £31,285 annual salary, this is an equivalent to a full-time annual salary of £38,585
- 3-month probationary period
- A basic DBS is required for this post
