Of Earth and Memory Exhibition Launch

It’s nearly the launch of the residency Of Earth and Memory and we would love for you to join us!
St Augustine’s Centre members will be taking over the Everybody Gallery and exhibiting work they have created. This is the culmination of the last few months of artist Zephie’s work with centre members, in which they have explored the theme of identity through clay. They have created a series of ceramic busts having mostly never worked with clay before and the results are fantastic!
Accompanying the busts will be images taken by Nic Chapman, featuring centre members in the place where they feel most at home in Halifax.
The project is kindly supported by the CultureDale Connects Fund. The aim of the project is to platform the voices, stories and creative expression of people who have fled war and persecution, with the hope of building understanding and cohesion in our community.
